The women of the Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church have become an integral part of the outreach program. A Bible Study/Prayer group was established approximately 4-5 years ago, with meetings being held weekly. The women organize baking/sewing days to make items to send to the men and women in the military. They reach out to the surrounding community by providing dinners for family members who have lost a loved one. The ladies sponsor an "Angel Tree" at Christmas and collect articles of clothing and toys for needy families.
The women host a Mother-Daughter Banquet each May, which normally draws from 75-100 people. Some of the ladies of the church are active as Sunday School teachers and supervise Children's Church activities. More recently, the women have branched out to organize their own Sunday School class, with an average attendance of 16. They have established weekly phone contacts and visits to strive for church-wide Sunday School growth.
The ladies of Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church realize that Matthew 28:19-20 (The Great Commission) was intended for ALL baptized believers. We invite you to join us in the Women's Sunday School Class each Sunday morning at 9:30 to study and share God's Word.
